and has been registered for nearly 3 years?

I'm interested in an item but I'm often wary of sellers who have a low feedback rate. She or he has had 5 feedbacks within the last 5 days but doesn't seem to have a record of any before that despite being registered since December 2005. Can anyone explain why and whether I should be suspicious?

Thanks.

is it a high value item? in which case if you pay via paypal your money isnt released to them until they receive positive feedback from you as they havent got enough detailed seller ratings

I'd buy unless the f/b is negative.

or if they offer to send you a cheque for 5 grand and for you to pay the difference into an account for them, avoid!

I was registered on ebay for about 3 years before I sold anything. I always thought it seemed like too much of a faff and only gave in when I became really strapped for cash.

boogiewoogie · 01/10/2008 21:05

okay, this is the item
