BUYER being a bit slow...

I know there is not much I can do about this, but wondering if IBU??

Sold an item on Saturday, sent an invoiice saying Congrats, 'please let me know when you will be in for delivery'. Just trying to be a bit courteous as I hate it myself if im not in when something gets delivered and I have to trundle up to the depot with my ID etc.

She paid the bill but didn't reply. I thought 'oh well' maybe she is busy...

Mailed her Sunday. No reply.

It's now Monday morning and while I appreciate that this isn't that bad in the larger scheme of things, I do want to get rid of the damn item and thought she would be eager to have it seeing as she paid £100 for it.

So I thought, stuff it, ill book it this morning. Only it seems to book a courier you need a tel number. AAArrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhh.

Emailed her again but not holding out much hope...although it's still early... Am I being hormonal???

I would give them a little longer to contact you.... they only bought it on Saturday.........

EdieMcredie · 29/09/2008 09:22

Oh yes Ill give them longer...not going to sell it on or anything!

Just strange that you should pay but not discuss delivery

Well, she may not have read the invoice, just paid through the ebay site. She may not have seen the message that is on the invoice, I find the ebay emails so cluttered they are hard to see.

As for the follow up e-mail, you are talking less than 24 hours. Just send it out, send her an email saying that you have done so. It is nice of you to ask when she will be in, but not necessary.

I have been that person who paid quickly but then didn't arrange delivery for a while, too busy, other things to juggle.
Unless you're paying for storage I can't see you've got a problem, at least they paid up quickly.

EdieMcredie · 29/09/2008 09:33

Yes im glad she paid up quickly.

I can't send it without a telephone number.

Thanks for opinions!!

I always use my number when sending via a courier - I use my number in both spaces (sender & recipient) always have done because if there's a problem I'd rather the courier phoned me

HTH
