"Unfortunately your item did not sell" ... yet it shows as sold

and I have received e-mails saying it has been sold and to send invoice. This has happened with 3 things this evening. Can anyone shed some light for me please?

Hmmm ... now when I refresh the bids page, it says that it did sell.

Oh Lordy ... this is too confusing for my poor befuddled brain!
