return this coat?

i've never returned anything before but i'm not happy with a coat i received yesterday. The seller mentioned a torn lining which is fine, but there's a lot of greyish pilling around the collar and marks on the main body. it's shabbier than the coat i was hoping it would replace! Is it OK to return it do you think?

ASk the seller - will they refund your postage too (expensive to return?) or will they consider compensating some of the cost back to avoid the palaver? It depends what you want to happen. Alternatively there is always a complaint/claim although can't remember if you need to return the goods first.

you can try a SNAD dispute in paypal, but they will probably ask you to return the item (at your onw cost, and recorded)
