Decided not to give her a refund. How do I play it?

Cut long story short...I sold a dvd box set on ebay, woman bought it and I posted straight away. When received she insisted that the box was all broken and she wanted her money back this is shite because it was practically brand new and I checked it before I sent it.

Anyway to avoid neg feedback I agreed and told her to send it back. This was almost 2 weeks ago and she said she would but I have not heard from her since. The normal "14 days" is up on Monday, although I did not specify a return policy on the listing.

I've now decided I won't refund as she's had time to watch the entire set and probably has done.

So what do I do? Do I contact her and tell her not to bother sending it back as I won't be refunding or leave it and just consider it all complete (and then what happens if she does eventually send it back (now that she's obviously broken it herself) ?

I would contact her and make her aware that she is now past the 14 day refund period and as such, you are now unwilling to refund the money for the DVD's. You shouldn't be expected to wait this long if she was unhappy with the condition of the DVD's. They have probably been copied and lent out to all of her friends during this time.

I bet the buyer will do a dispute through paypal(if thats how she paid) saying they are not as described and get her money back.

did she pay by paypal?

Why not contact eBay and ask their opinion stating the facts but do think 14 days is more than sufficient time for it to have been returned, i would certainly have had it in the post within a day or two.

I would let sleeping dogs lie, and deal with any problems that might arise if they arise.
By contacting her you might aggrevate her into taking more action.
