Two things recently I have wanted to buy but needed to ask a question, seller responded too late for me to make an offer can I e mail them and offer to buy for starting price without re-listing? would they likely accept? if I apy through paypal do I still have the usual protection? (whatever that is!)
thanks

You can offer and the seller could put it on as a buy it now item. You could also do it privately. The first is within ebay rules (as they still get paid!) The second isn't, and I'm not sure how you would stand with paypal.

Ifthey put it on as buy it now, you would be covered by paypal & ebay. If you do it privately, you have no comeback at all.

Not even via paypal?

How much does buy it now cost?

Nope, only paypal with a proper ebay listing has cover, paypal on its own does not.

Buy-it-nows have different prices, depending on how much the item is priced at

oh never realised that what's the point of using it for other things then.
So do you pay if you list and don't sell? It's about £10

they won't want to BIN for me if they could sell to anyone will they?
