Items arrived smelling of smoke - yuk

Buyer was kind enough to take a cheque as my paypal went haywire, but items arrived today (four items of clothing for ds), and they smelt of stale cig smoke. Bleurgh.

What is the etiquette here then? Never had this problem before.

As soon as I opened the parcel I could smell smoke and they went straight in the washing machine as I knew if ds saw them he would wantto wear them.

i wouldn't give negative feedback. but do put it in feedback.

for example "quick delivered, but smelled of smoke"

Unless the listing stated "from a smoke free home" or similar, you cna't really complain to the seller.

I can't rememebr if it said from a smoke free home on the listing so I will have a look before I leave feedback.

teaspoon of bicarb in washing machine helps with smells.

hijack. ilovemydog will it help with potty training smelling clothes. i put napisan and plenty of fabric conditioner, but sometimes it still stinks

Does anyone know how to remove the smell of stale smoke from a leather jacket we recent bought on ebay?

We've had it professionally dry cleaned which cost £35! but it still reeks after being hung out in the garage for 3 days?

i once bought an item off ebay but wen it came it was dirty and stunk even tho byer said clean and smoke free home but anything i buy it goes in the wash asap

pache, a good sunning out should do it, no such luck with th weather right now though!
