I have ebayed some old annuals that use to be my dads which my gran gave me.
I have put them on ten day listings but they already have bidders and watchers.
Would you go to a specialist to get price guide ?
Just started them all at 99p ?

If you went to a specialist to get them priced, where would you sell them?

ChippyMinton · 19/08/2008 21:32

try this site I've used it to research stuff, but i don't know if they have annuals.
Also search ebay and tick the 'completed listings' box to see what has sold previously.

If you have got lots of interest and bidders already then I think that you should safely get the market value.

You tend to get stung where there aren't any other bidders or watchers and someone comes in with a low bid in the last seconds.

Thanks Chippy checked out that site but they all older than mine and going for £10 plus!
Think i need to be bit more savvy about this.
Missjenni that's why i put them on ebay but don't want/ can't afford to get ripped off. Sadly parting with them!
I also have a first edition.

You may find that a lot of the watchers are doing just that, because they have similar annuals gathering dust, and have nor intention of bidding.

Have you done a finished listings search on the annuals on Ebay? This will give you the selling price of any in the past. Not sure how far back it goes though

wheresthehamster · 19/08/2008 21:56

Oh - late as usual

lilyloo · 19/08/2008 21:57

What will you do though if it doesnt sell for as much as you think it should?

lilyloo · 19/08/2008 22:17

Don't know really i hadn't thought about that.
It's just the first edition really but done some research and there is one on ebay at the moment for £70+ so will just have to watch and see.
The rest have gone for £10 ish!
Thanks will have to sit it out.

think ebay is as good a place as any to sell something of worth, dealers online all the time. good luck!
