hey

I bought a bundle of baby clothes on ebay. Postage was £12 but they lived less than 5 miles from my house. I emailed them a few days before end to see if i could pick up the bundle. They said yes no problem as long as after 5pm, or at weekend.

In the end i won the bundle for 99p and then recieved an email saying that i couldnt pick up anymore because they didnt want any stranger at their house. Said their oh replied first time by mistake.

So i paid the 12 postage and packaging.. plus 99p.

A man just dropped it off in the car at my house..
now is it just me or is that a bit cheeky?? I could have walked to their house for it! They said that i could pick up, changed their mind fair enough! But i expected it to be posted, like royam mail posted.
They also said they were only free after five.. but THIS MUCH after five is taking the pee a bit i think.

no it is not. i tried to do a nice thing for a fellow mners bday. she was over the moon and afaik people were glad to have been able to cheer her up.

then a couple of months later she posted that her internet was going to be cut off. she did not ask for money. people offered and although she has always been too proud to accept offers of help before this time she decided to listen to the people who were saying don't be proud we want to help and it all went a bit tits up. she is now waiting for a budgetting loan so she can pay all the nice people back who lent her the money.

look i just wanted to let the op know, no harm done is there?

nappyaddict · 16/08/2008 23:29

i am not posting any more on the matter. i will not get into an arguement over this again as i said i don't even have the clothes anymore. someone collected them today so it was a pretty pointless comment to make imo.

i can understand if the poster actually believes it was a scam that she would want to warn the op but think that perhaps doing it by email might have been better. but then again at least doing it this way i have had a chance to defend myself which i wouldn't have had if the op had been warned privately by email. swings and roundabouts.

nappyaddict · 16/08/2008 23:44

oooohhhh · 16/08/2008 23:45
