Paypal funding. What am I doing wrong???

I have a verified Paypal account set up but I can't seem to get funds into it easily. The only option it gives me is a bank transfer which takes 2 weeks.

when I come to pay for an item the only option is "use paypal balance"

I am sure there must be a better way! please tell me what I am doing wrong!

have you gone through the FAQ's on paypal...i used have loads of probs and ended up contacting them to sort it out, sometimes depends on type of bank/building society account (i think)
