Hi I discovered yesterday that someone had used my pay pal account to pay 279.00 USD for Jamroom (have never heard or used them) I raised a dispute with pay pal and they credited my bank account with £138.02p.
279.00 USD works out at £144.04p (£6.00 of a difference ) £144.02 has been removed from my account, I have contacted pay pal regarding this as I am not at all happy that I am out this money for something that I did not purchase.
Has anyone else had this sort of problem with pay pal before, I take it the difference is the money conversion from Dollar to sterling.

I would think the obvious reason would be that I contacted them and informed them that I had not made this transaction and that it was fraudulent.

I would think that any sort of bank would act in speed if you informed them that a fraudulent transaction had taken place, the halifax is san other bank who act's instantly if informed.
