Ebay posting items to wrong address

I bid successfully on two items which were sent to a 'collection point', a random newsagents nearly a mile away and not on any bus routes. I raised an issue but they just say items have been delivered.

Have you checked the delivery option you selected (or that was auto selected for you) at checkout? I've been caught out by this on vinted before but fortunately the collection point was the local post office that I'm in daily for work reasons anyway!

This is true, and would pose no problem to me, but not everyone is able to walk. I assume there is a good reason OP cannot "just walk and get them"!

Perhaps it was auto selected. I am concerned that it may happen again. The items are not high value and I am very busy at present, I am quite old, medical appointments this week and don't have a car. I suspect I probably just won't bother to pick
up the items. I have been on Ebay for many years, as a buyer, and this has never happened before.

You need to check very carefully at checkout what delivery option is set. It's almost always possible to change it!
