Would you trust a new car seat but with a damaged box?

Have found a seller selling the car seat I need to make my pushchair a travel system, but they sell goods from high street stores that have damaged packaging/boxes. Obviously safety is my number one concern. Do you think the seat may have been damaged when the box got damaged?

Part of me thinks even when you buy a car seat from say Halfords you have no idea how many times it's been thrown round the stock room. The seller says seat is in perfect condition it's just the box that is damaged.

you can't tell I think is the answer.

Probably not worth the risk as there may be damage invisible to the naked eye.

I recieved a carseat from a kind Mumnetter last year. Because we weren't in, the postman THREW it over my 6ft fence. I went mad when I got home, and phoned Head office and they replaced it for me, so no I wouldn't trust a damaged box
