hi got first neg today, some loser bought something and wasn't happy, instead of waiting to see if we'd refund he got itchy and gave us a neg.

he has since added a positive comment to the neg, but can we get it removed?

I think you can take it up with ebay and get them to ask him to withdraw it. V, unfair of him to do this, is he a newbie?

southeastastra · 21/06/2008 15:22

not really he only told us he was unhappy two days ago and as we didn't reply straight away (dp was working away) he just negged us.

we can't leave any sort of neg for him either. it doesn't make sense

If he later added a positive, you can ask for the feedback to be mutually withdrawn. It will still show on the feedback list, but won't affect your % rating.
I did it recently with some twit that gave me neutral feedback without even emailing me first- and his feedback was that the item was in good condition, received promptly but the colour wasn't quite as it appeared on my ebay photo!!! wtf!!!

So you can still see it on my feedback along with my comment that he should have emailed me first to resolve, but there is a big note from ebay saying 'buyer and seller have mutually withdrawn feedback'. So other people looking at my feedback can see that he was a tosser, and from his feedback they can still see the neg I left him saying that buyers should always email first before leaving neutral or neg feedback'.

It was the neg I left him in reply that made him see what a pratt he'd been.

So in answer to your question, no you can't get it removed altogether from your listing but yes you can get its effect on your feedback % removed.

how recently? i was just looking at the boards on ebay and they say the mutual feedback has been withdrawn

Sorry I forgot about the new regulations. If someone negs you, you can't neg them back but you can report them to ebay for leaving neg for no good reason.

I know you can't leave neg feedback for him but can you 'reply' to his neg with a comment that will let anyone reading your feedback know what has happened?

Ask him if he will retract it and if not report it to ebay.

southeastastra · 21/06/2008 15:31

he said he's not able to retract (he tried) so i'll try reporting it directly to ebay. it's so unfair.
