I somehow have a minus balance on my paypal account

I bought something on ebay a couple of weeks ago., in fact it was the 30th may.I paid with paypal, but becasue I didn't have enough int eh paypal account, they took what was in it and then got the reaining £36,84 from my debit card.
However, when i checked my account it has:

31st May - Debit card payment failed
4th June - Debit card payment refused
10th June - debit card payment failed.

It thing goes on to say that I have -£25.31 in my account. That they used back up funding to make the payment. I clicked ont the failed payment and it said that the authoristaion hadn't gone through, then the refused one said the same.
The bank say paypal never asked for payment from my card, and that even if they had there is no reason why it would have beenr refused as there were plenty funds at the time.

Never heard of this happening. Have you gone over your over draft limit/credit card limit?

Ring your bank first to see what they say, then ring/email paypal.

Sorry just seen you have asked bank. Check all you details are correct with paypal. Has your card expired?

Ah now that could be it. I needed a new card as the other one's chip wasn't working, so i got a new one.

Could be that then! Check all details are spot on.
