What happens if you buy/pay for something and it never arrives?

This sounds silly, but i have only just realised that something I payed for on May 5th (some playmobil) has not arrived. I ordered a lot of things at the same time so just missed that this hadn't come.

I have emailed the seller, but they have 100% positive feedback for 214 items so I am guessing they did actually send it but it got lost in the post or something. They did not offer postal insurance.

So what happens now? I paid £11.60 for it. Do they have to refund me?

Did they send by royal mail? Aren't they automatically covered for a small amount with them anyway? Maybe the seller can provide you with the receipt of posting or follow it up for you?

Weird, wasn't there someone else the other day who hadn't received playmobil stuff off ebay around that date?

They have to refund you.
If they don't or ask you to chase RM etc then simply open a paypal dispute and you will get a refund. It is then up to them to claim from RM.

do item not received dispute via ebay/ paypal
you should get your money back esp if paid via paypal. Seller should offer assistance but lodge dispute for your protection.
