Pending e-cheque from buyer has now been cancelled???

Have been waiting over two weeks for an e-cheque to clear from a buyer. Should have cleared yesterday, but have just checked and it says the cheque has been cancelled . I presume the buyer has changed their minds about wanting the item after all, or is it something else??? Don't suppose I can even leave negative feedback now either . I've e-mailed buyer to see if they know what's going on (they are a powerseller)but would appreciate any advice from mumnetters on the subject

I would give them a couple of days to reply to your email. If you dont get an answer then file a non paying bidder thingy.

The new feedback thing is a complete joke !!

Thanks Twocute, will do. I really think it's the result of the changes to feedback -presume they'll still get a strike though if I report and they don't respond?

Well buyer has been in contact and said that it was e-bay that cancelled it . She wants me to send a new invoice, which I can't seem to do as item is still awaiting payment and invoices were sent out weeks ago. She's a power seller, but just get the impression that she's stalling

It may be that she didn't have enough money in her bank account, it's happened to me before, I changed accounts on everything except ebay and tried to pay for an item not realising, the bank (obviously) refused the payment and it was cancelled.
Ebay cannot cancel the payment so that's just talk, you shouldn't need to send a new invoice it should still say 'pay for item' on her ebay, or she could do it straight through paypal.

no it wont still sat pay for item- at least it never does here

if it doesnt clear after x time, i wonder if ebay cancels it then?

e mail paypal, we had someone telling us they couldnt access their payments recently, turned out prat was set up to only take dollars, paypal sorted pronto

you can send another invoice or a payment reminder - have a look at all the drop down menus or click on the total price bit and get the sales record where you can send an email/invoice/reminder

Nope, just checked and nowhere on the drop down menu is a 'send invoice'. It's saying payment initiated through paypal on 12th May, or thereabouts, so assume as Victorian Squalor suggests it's a case of her being able to activate payment at her end via the original invoice.
It's only for £7 but even so..
