Seller wants me to cancel return

Seller wants me to cancel the return request so they can send me a replacement for the damaged item. I'm not sure whether I should?

Don’t do it it sounds like a scam return the item get a refund and buy the pink item if you want the pink item

The item is damaged. Is there point returning it? Or should I just ask for a refund instead. They do have over 2k reviews

I’ve been scammed by a seller with a lot of reviews myself so don’t bet on that. Return it for a guaranteed refund

Don't cancel the return you won't be able to open another claim if you do. Either carry on with the return or ask for a refund and re purchase if they don't want the item returned.

If you cancel and they don't do anything you won't have any comeback via eBay. Learned that the hard way with a faulty item.

I asked for a refund and then I'll repurchase but they haven't responded.

DO NOT close the return until you have a replacement in your hands, that you are happy with OR a full refund.

You only get a certain amount of time to do the return.
If you cancel the return then you are accepting the item and you have no guarantee of the replacement.
A lot of them do this. Ive had it.

Tell them that the only way youll cancel the return is if they offer full refund. Otherwise it clearly affects your guarantee.
Tell them at this point you are out of pocket and dont have a working item, plus you now have to go to the trouble of packaging and returning it, or they are asking you to just trust them and cancel your buyer resolution?

They refunded me in the end without needing to return the package.
