1-should i panic that the only bidder on my item ending in about half hour has no feedback?i know we all have to start somewhere and i dont post until have payment so is it ok?
2-whats happened to feed back.you can leave negetive or something?what if you have bad buyer/seller?

We all start somewhere so I would't stress to much that your bidder doesn't have any feedback yet

Feedback wise - you can now as a seller only leave positive feedback. If they don't pay or are a pita it's tough - you can't leave a neg or neutral anymore. However a buyer still can!

I previously suggested on here that you could a leave a truthful positive eg ##NEGATIVE - Non payer## - I have just found out that negative positives will be removed

Cheesesarnie, no feedback is better than a history of negative feedback (esp for non-payment). If the item is not very pricey, you can probably take the risk.

Since the new rules came into force in May (whereby sellers can no longer leave -ve feedback for buyes), I have removed bidders who have had bad feedback and then blocked them from bidding further - just to avoid hassle.

Yup - I haven't looked into ebay's explanation of this [sigh] - probably along the lines of - buyers need to feel they are in a safe environment to scam sellers...err I mean leave a true reflection of their experience.

seller gets a neg and it drops him below the approved % so he gets suspended for 30 days (whether the neg was legit or not)
Not to worry, if he improves his performance within that 30 days he can come back and play..... but Uh ohhh he can't buy or sell in those 30 days so how the eck can he improve his performance [DOH!] so he gets thrown off ebay for good.
Good job no one relies on ebay for their livelihood eh?

i dont get the feedback sill!surely if a buyer/seller are pants you want to leave neutral or neg feedback to warn others!
blueshoes -have you removed everyone with any bad feedback?

the buyer won btw and paid shortly after by paypal so looking good.wasnt little amount was £50.

I only removed those with recent -ve feedback as non-paying buyers (say 3+ in the last 6 months). But I waited until the final hours of the auction before doing so, hoping that they would be outbid. I also blocked them from bidding further.

My auctions are small beer. I would rather not sell than have the hassle of someone leaving -ve feedback for me.

blue shoes - you can now set your preferences to block buyers that have had more than 2/ 3 / 4/ 5 unpaid item strikes in the last 1 / 6 / or 12 months.
Go to site preferences, buyer requirements and then buyers with unpaid item strikes

Will do, thanks nikki. Problem is not all sellers who (previously) left unpaid buyer -ve feedback always go through the delay and hassle of raising an unpaid item dispute before re-listing. So despite my blocking such bidders, some still slip through the net.
