Selling on eBay. - confusing fees

I have been an eBay seller for over twenty years and I’ve never had any issues with fees until the last year or so. I keep getting messages telling me it’s free for sellers then I sell something (or not( and then I get regular bank charges , even on months I haven’t sold, I don’t know if my settings change when it auto resists or what’s in doing wrong?
I generally only sell old clothes - I’m disabled with fluctuating weight due to mobility and medication so much of what I do is buy and sell replacing items at different sizes.
EBay items sell far higher than Vinted but the lack of clarity on fees makes it really hard for me to know where to pitch my price.
i also have dyscalculia so find maths complex but don’t recall eBay ever being this complicated before?
im finding Vinted much quicker and clearer , selling at much lower prices is still worth it for me to save all the confusion but as an old ebayer I don’t want to give up on it completely !
also , slightly different subject but is eBay more filled with multiple international businesses that say they’re uk based but actually aren’t?
have seen a lot of exactly the same items at the same price from Multiple sellers , same description etc and if I’ve orders believing it’s uk based it has taken an extraordinarily long time to arrive.
i guess my bottom line is eBay doesn’t feel as transparent as it once did

There are listing fees and selling fees, usually it's free to list but there is a fee when it sells. Things like buy it now and adding a reserve are also charged for I believe so I imagine auto-relisting is too

Ah thanks, maybe that’s what it is then, sometimes I do offer buy it now , I always forget to uncheck autorelist, I only put auctions on for three days as I like a quick turnaround and then I find eBay has relisted for seven days etc, I obviously need to keep a much tighter hold of it all.
I guess this is why I prefer Vinted, for simplicity
