How long does a 2nd class parcel take to arrive once it's been despatched?

It depends where you live. If someone was posting a parcel to me 2nd class it could take anything from 4 days to 4 months to arrive

i think it is up to 3 days - but they dont class 1st class as lost til it has been gone for 14 days so dont panic too soon.

It depends if it was actually classed as a parcel or a packet. Ordinary parcels get sent parcel post (ie not first or second). Packets however can go first or second class. It is very confusing but there is a difference.

Thanks for replies. Our post is a bit funny here. For example MIL sent a parcel 1st class on Monday a while back and it didn't arrive until Friday . Sometimes I've ordered stuff on ebay during the day and they've arrived at 7am the next day.

parcels = 3 - 5 working days
2nd class letters/packets = within 3 working days.

I tend to post my 2nd class packets as late as possible in the day and they more often than not arrive at their destination the following day.

Anything too big to get through the letter box - always best to check with the local sorting office as the postie doesn't always leave a card. Tis good to advise buyers to do this if they contact you saying "Where's my item??!"
