Can't see new eBay Buyer Fees Being Added Yet?

eBay were supposed to impose fees on buyers starting this week like Vinted and funds released to sellers on delivery however on the items I've looked at I can't see this.

I am a private seller and I sold an item two days ago and was able to withdraw the funds the next day. I also bought from another private seller this morning but couldn't see any buyer protection fee added.

Has there been a delay in launching?

I purchased something today and no fees were added. I hadn't heard about them holding the funds until delivery. If that does happens I suppose I will have to send tracked every time which I never do when sending large letters. Sold items and the money is still available to withdraw.

I've read on-line comments that it will apply only to new listings.

It's appearing on all the items I listed last night.

I seem to have had the fees added to non clothes items.

I uploaded a few clothes items on the week end and no fees added.

I wondered this too and found out that they are gradually rolling it out. I think they are introducing new categories every day or week. So some items will have it and some won't at the moment. I imagine everything will be covered by the end of the month.

I've just noticed on my listings the prices are random and have increased eg a piece of furniture I am selling (but it now) was listed for £190 is now £198.32 so I guess that's the new buyers fee.
Obviously no one likes fees, but still much better than vinted who hide them until you go to checkout and seem to be applied randomly. I buy kids clothes on there (or I did until I got so fed up with the crap people sell and how expensive it ended up being!) and sometimes a kids jumper for £5 from two different sellers would have completely different vinted buyer fees 🤷🏻‍♀️
