Return label help

Can anyone help? My Dad has sold something to someone in America. He didn’t realise it was going to America because it goes via a postal hub in the UK, so it was a UK address he put on it.

When it arrived, it was broken. EBay have refunded the buyer but Dad still wants the item back, so he can mend it. It was a £400 sale.

How can he get EBay to issue a return label? Any advice?

I think your dad will have to pay the purchaser to send it back to him.

Thank you. I think that's what I've worked out too. Any idea about taxes on something coming into the UK from the USA?
