First-time seller question

I'm selling an item on Ebay for the first time and have specified Royal Mail first class standard delivery. When I post it obviously I want to get proof of postage - should I ask for something more specific than just a normal receipt (like something with the address on)?

It's very addictive isn't it? I've lost count of the times I've checked how many watchers/bids I've got .

TIA

How much do you think your item will sell for for? Only asking as you are only covered for £32 should the item get lost or damaged in the post.
Also, if it is being paid with paypal, should the buyer claim non receipt they will get a refund from paypal if you can't provide a tracking number (rec del for eg)

good luck!!

Thanks sixlm. Looking at similar listings I doubt it'll get more than £10. So if I only send it first class (cos that's what I put on the listing) but with proof of posting, and it gets lost, a paypal buyer could claim their money back from me, but I could then claim it back from the post office?
