eBay corrupt and unfair. Not recomended to buyers or seller.

My friend has been an eBay member for many years and has several accounts which is allowed. with over 4000 positive feedback on average he recieved a fake Micro SD Card so he opened a claim and went to leave feedback. Tried to leave Negative feedback then he was instantly suspended with no way of reversal. I just opened an account for buying and i also ordered a SD Memory card that was also fake, i opened a return and i was also suspended again for doing nothing wrong. Either way unfairly treated and no excuse given.
eBay is not what it used to be and full of cheap fakes that eBay do nothing about. After reporting the member for selling fakes he is still actively selling the fakes and eBay do nothing. Anyway eBay a full of cr*p and not worth bothering with. They are not the only platform and there are many better ones.
I don't recomend eBay to anyone.

Can I ask what brand the micro SD card was and how you discovered it was fake?

I usually buy Sandisk. On this occation i bought Lenovo.
With sandisk it is very easy to tell a fake.
(1) The Fonts on the packaging (32 as in 3 with rounded to instead of flat top)
(2) Inside of the packaging once split open should have printed text)
(3) The plastic that holds the Micro SD Carn and Adapter should be loose but have a film sealing it. If thats all good then i use a simple app like "Validrive.exe" (Its free) I also use "h2testw" and check speed with "CrystalDiskMark" The recent one i use is Version 8. Be aware it should have 4 read speed boxes and 4 write speed boxes.

Some fake Sandisk memory cards can be very good and i test them with the latter two apps. What the faker will do is create a hidden partition that reports back to the computer a fake size. It will look like you have formatted the SD card and all seams good untill you save larger files than the fake capacity. It will seam that the file was succesfully saved but all it does is overwrite itself corrupting your file/s I checkes the recent Lenovo SD Card with the two latter apps and got as far as 7.5GB before it was corrupted. It was probably an 8GB SD Card to start with. For years i never trust any memory cards, usb sticks or hard drives as most of them have been fake. I even bought sandisk cards from Tesco and PC World that where fakes. After complaining they both did the decent thing and removed the stock. I didn't even consider it that people buying fakes are swapping them out with the genuine retailers.

Thanks for the advice. I've no idea a counterfeit sd card can wreck such havocs.
