Should I open a paypal dispute or wait a while?

Seller agreed to a full refund on a buggy I brought. I got it on Monday, not as described, sent it back on Tuesday 24hr service, but it didn't get there untill yesterday. Was signed for at 12:30 as left with a neighbour. I have not heard from the sellers since they got the buggy back. They were quick to respond to emails before this. Is it too soon to open a dispute? Thanks

What was their feedback like?

auntypurple · 25/04/2008 15:44

Hiya,
It's 98.8%, only 66 transactions(sp) though.

How did you pay? Can they refund you quickly, perhaps by Paypal?

I would give them a couple of days' grace, perhaps they haven't been on the computer for some reason or other.

Be careful about not giving feedback until it's completely resolved.

Yep I used paypal, so refund would need to come from there so that they are covered as a seller. They left me feedback when I had paid. They left fb for someone last night, so know they have been online. Will give them a bit longer. Will happily give them good fb once I have had my refund. Thanks

I would open a dispute now. To be honest, I think I'd have opened one straight away before sending it back.
You have got proof of posting it back, haven't you?

Got a reply almost straight away from that, they have initated(sp?) the refund, paypal looking into it, got quite a shirty message in with the paypal message from the seller. Thanks for your help.

in order to refund via paypal you need to have funds she may not have enough.

itsahardknocklife · 26/04/2008 10:04

good luck, auntypurple. Let us know what happens.

Well the seller started the refund on the 25th, paypal said should take 7 days. I am still waiting. Does anyone know why?

open a dispute with paypal, and report it to ebay as clearly she has funds, she has yours and the other persons she sold it to, and probably spent your money already or moved it from paypal to her bank account. be quick !

Hiya,
The dispute was opened on the 25th April, paypal said it would take 7 days to get my money back as the seller then started the refund. I just wondered why it had taken longer than that. Anyway the refund went through not long ago, so the money will be back in my bank in about 3 days now. Thanks for the reply.
