Help! How on earth do you contact eBay (by phone)

I have been going round and round in circles
I google and it says there is no longer a number for them?
I used to ring and get stuff resolved over the phone

I can't do it online as it just sends me from pillar to post asking me what my q is, and not answering it or cutting me off
The problem is they are withholding funds and I dont know why...
I had not sold in a year but I've just sold three items
My card details are up to date, I've checked (and I'm a buyer anyway and have been throughout all the time I was not selling)
They sent the money from an item sent to the GPS centre.. (I guess eBay themselves can see that the parcel was delivered there) but they are withholding from an item I sent within UK (I'm also UK)
How does it work now? Does the buyer have to mark it as received and /or leave feedback , for the money to be released? It's far too long as been a week and a half and I sent the item on the day it sold (trackable). I've not heard a thing from the buyer ..

Is the item tracked? Can you see that it's been delivered?

I would be amazed if you can talk to anyone at ebay by phone these days. None of the big tech companies have phone numbers for mere mortals to use. Your best bet is more likely to be some kind of live chat, you might be reduced to a email conversation.

Your funds will be held until delivery is confirmed and then a time period has passed, can't remember how long off the top of my head. Did you upload tracking to eBay?

Ebay phoned me on Wednesday from 0345 355 3229.

However I think this is their call back number.

I went online to the Help/Contact Tag at the bottom of the page and then from memory went into the ‘Selling’ area, identified the item they were holding my payment on, and asked them to contact me.

They were really efficient, rang me back immediately and released my payment once I could prove the item had been delivered (I had already contacted the buyer through messaging and asked her to confirm it had arrived)

I have just tried to reproduce the route I took to get them to ring me but of course I can’t because I don't have anything on hold.

However, they definitely do have a route to get to speak to someone and it definitely starts at the Help / Contact Tag

Following my previous response I have now found the route I took

1. Go into Help & Contact
2. Go to Contact
3. Then to Chat with our Automated Assistant
4. It will start telling you all sorts of irrelevant things. Just answer ‘Talk to an adviser’
5. it should ask you whether you would like to ‘Chat with and Agent’ or ‘Have us call you’. I chose the latter and they rang me.

it was daytime which may of course give you more contact options.
