Hi
I took the plunge and listed my buggy on ebay. I've been paid £260 but I've looked at the paypal page and it warns me that the address is unconfirmed. The buyer has bought 3 things about 8 months ago, and that is all her feedback.

I've got the money so if I've sent the buggy by courier (parcelforce) what can go wrong??

Am I worrying about nothing or..
Any advice from experienced ebayers welcomed.

thanks

generally nothing goes wrong.
it just means you don't have seller protection.
the only thing I know about (without putting my thinking head on.....but I lost that earlier today) is if they or their bank do a chargeback. Just keep all copies of communication, receipt from courier etc,
try not to worry

thanks.

She said she moved last month and that's why it doesn't tally.

Does this sound reasonable?

If the address is unconfirmed, I'll often drop them an email just saying, please can you confirm your delivery address.

I'm not sure if it gives you any additional protection, but I think it's one of the things they look for in any chargeback processes.

I'm sure you'll be fine...but I know that feeling of 'oh God...what did I send that for??!'

Would they consider paying by any other method if you refunded? I have done it once and it was fine but really stressd me out! sure it will be fine if you take the recommended steps. Good luck!

When I'm doing Ebay big time (at Christmas usually), I add to my auctions that I won't send to unconfirmed addresses. A couple of times (for big purchases of £200+), I've refunded payments and had them pay cash in over the counter instead. However, if you do this, then the money might go into their paypal account rather than their bank account, then they'd have to 'withdraw it' (you might need to upgrade your account to do this), before they'd have the money again to send to you. It might seem a lot of hassle to a newbie Ebayer.

For lower value things, I don't worry about it, but reconfirm the address with them. Touch wood, I've not had a problem yet.
