Wanting to see care labels of clothes now apparently. Really not sure what that proves?! 🤔

Hugely useful! Usually it shows the fabric used in the garment and if it’s dry clean only or hand wash etc. it might put me off depending on the item.

For £2.50 items? They're having a laugh

Idontevenknowmyname · 08/10/2024 16:33

I always include photos of any labels on the clothing anyway. It helps to confirm that they’re genuine, the actual size and fabric and if it has special washing instructions that mean someone might not want to buy it. It takes seconds to do this. Not sure why it’s such a problem?

endofanera23 · 08/10/2024 16:34

A buyer is wanting it or Vinted has declined a post without it?

Summerhillsquare · 08/10/2024 17:01

I always photograph mine, and prefer sellers who do so, very useful.

GinForBreakfast · 08/10/2024 17:03

I always photograph labels.

They can also be a good indicator of how often a "like new" item has been washed!

IsThePopeCatholic · 08/10/2024 17:08

It’s really useful info. Also, why don’t people always show what the fabric is? That’s a dealbreaker for me.

TryingToBeNiceButFailing · 08/10/2024 17:10

I cut my labels out usually. I do always say that the care label has been removed.

To prove the fabric composition - e.g. to prevent someone claiming a polyester jumper is cashmere (which might not be obvious from photos)

harvestdesigns · 08/10/2024 17:19

I always photograph care labels, it takes 2 seconds and it saves questions re the fabric composition and care instructions. Also they normally have the size on.

I think it’s a good idea as I rarely buy on Vinted as there is so little information. I like to know what the fabric is and measurements. If it’s a brand you are unfamiliar with you are not going to pay much if there is a chance it won’t fit you.
