pointless comment in feedback

OK, so sold something. they left me positive feedback but added in the words 'packagin ripped on receipt'.. now what was the point in that.. if they were unhappy or the item had been damaged etc they could've contacted me but they didn't so obviously item was absolutely fine.. why feel the need to commetn on the fact that the packaging was ripped? obviously got ripped in tranist but if item not damaged in anyway why feel the need to comment on it??

People are nitwits. Obviously it wasn't your fault the packaging ripped but some people are fussy as heck.

It's going to go nuts once the 'sellers can't leave feedback' thing comes in in May.

Ah, they can't leave BAD feedback Squonky pet, some might not bother leaving any at all because it's a bit pointless when it has to be good iyswim, anyway this comes into play in May. I am about to start a thread about it in fact

Just checked ebay and can't see anyone talking about this. Possible scam email?

mumfor1st - it's mentioned quite a few times on the ebay boards (a few thousand times tbh) it has had media coverage and boycots.

mascara - I wouldn't worry about the comment. Anyone looking at it will realise that the buyer is just being nitwittypicky and not hold it against you at you.
