Advice about fakes and crazy sellers

Sorry - this is long..
Bought a bnwt oilily item, it came without tags, and is an obvious fake, including spelling mistake on the label.
Wrote seller a curt message asking for money back. Got mad mispelled and abusive one back saying I could get off my backside and report it to Paypal for all she cared.
Sent another message detailing all the reasons that it was a obvious fake, and telling her that this was fraud. Got a mad mispelled one back saying 'you can forget a refund'. Left neg feedback saying item was fake and quoting her mad abusive messages. She left neg feedback for me accusing me of accusing her of selling a fake (?!) I left a reply-to-feedback saying it was a fake and quoting her abusive messages...
She's now sent a message to say "
i have now blocked you from any further purchases like i said send it to oilily direct then you can retract your abuse and feedback"...
Can she block me? And what should I do?
I've contacted Ebay with the whole sorry story but I imagine they'll take a year or so to respond.. and I need to buy something tomorrow!!

She can delete any bids you make on her stuff (as if you would, now!), but I don't see how she can block you from buying from anyone else. Personally, I wouldn't retract the feedback, unless you want the negative retracted from your profile, but she probably wouldn't cooperate on that anyway.

And do tell who she is, so everyone here can avoid her, too. Not that that will stop her setting up under a new user name.

Thanks Roskva, I thought not. Don't feel I can name her (thinking of potential legal probs, rather paranoidly..) but I'd beware anyone who's a private seller selling new Oilily now, I think. Shops are different, and I often buy used Oilily.

She can only block you from her auctions. I hate these knobheads who are clearly in the wrong and get so defensive and arsey.

Yes, as su says, she can't do any sort of global block.

I'd say your best bet is to immediately start a Paypal claim - they can just withdraw the money back from her account and refund you.

Hi onebat. Hope it all goes o.k. for you. I occasionally sell Oilily (new) and Cakewalk stuff and none of it's fake, so try not to let this bampot put you off.

I generally check a seller's feedback before bidding on anything. If they have negs/neutrals I check them out.

If it's for lateness, I'll usually make allowances (some people expect you to be like grease lightning and some Ebayers are just mums like you and me). If it's for problems and they say they would have sorted it, and I think that's true, I give them the benefit of the doubt.

This person sounds like they might not have great feedback? If they did, I'll be really surprised. Most reasonable sellers would have offered you a refund of some kind.

that's the weird thing squilly, she did have excellent feedback - but went completely mad when I said it was fake and refused point blank to take it back and refund. It really is fake, I'm absolutely positive. Apart from the reaaally bad workmanship the label says'importado for' rather than 'importado por'.. and the label has been sewn in after seaming.

The plot thickens......

Coulod you take it up with Oilily??? They might be keen to know about the fakes cos it's not good for them.

Nope...on ebay I'm fatcatttaff. I don't sell much Oilily, but I do get some occasionally, so I'm probably not worth looking at much!!!!

I just think that any seller who's mad enough (a) to sell a fake or (b) not to accept the possibility that they might have, however inadvertently, is bonkers.

They could refund you and not be much out of pocket....a far better scenario than sounding off and ticking someone off.
