How long after buying an item should I leave it before getting VERY cross?

Ordered an item last Saturday.

It hasn't yet arrived.

Have emailed seller to ask when they posted it, if indeed they have yet... twas a friendly, email, not a "WHERE THE FECK IS MY STUFF?" email.

Have not had reply to email.

Nor have I received my stuff.

What should I do next?
How many emails should I leave for them?
When should I open a dispute?
If I do open a dispute, how do I do it?

Don't think I'm just being impatient, I use ebay a fair bit, and have never waited this long with no communication before.

Did you pay immediately?

Is there anything on the listing that says how long they normally take to dispatch?

Did you send message through ebay rather than by email? I have so much trouble with my mail account linked to emay and often dont receive messages unless they've gone through the site.

I paid straight away, by paypal, which was the seller's preferred payment method.

It said "standard delivery" but didn't say a time estimate like they often do.

I sent the message through the "contact the seller about this item" function on the ebay site.

Any ideas?

You can't realy do anything until 10 days after you payed then you can report item not recieved.
