Wrong product sent by EBay seller

I bought something at the weekend and when it arrived, it was the wrong items. The seller sells quite a few things from the same brand and I have received the wrong ones.

The seller has said they mixed up two parcels (they have good feedback so I don’t think they are dodgy) and said can I send mine to the other buyer, she will send hers to me and the seller will give us a partial refund to cover postage and inconvenience.

Is this safe to do? I would send tracked but could I end up liable if the other seller then claims the items do not arrive? Or if they do arrive but there is a problem with them, would it impact any other refund? Cost was £50 so not an insignificant amount.

This happened to me a couple of weeks ago.

Don't get involved with sending it on to the other buyer. Just get a returns label from ebay and send it back for free via the post office. You're covered that way.

Thank you, that was my instinct too!
