Evri parcel

I know not eBAY but cannot find a closer topic. Ordered something of Etsy. Seller used EVRI to send, receive it today and it's the wrong item. Someone has stuck a label with my name and address over someone else's name and address with their item in. Contacted seller - sending a replacement- what on Earth do I do? I am worried as the parcel has my invoice in it and might have personal info?! Tried to contact EVRI but can't get anyone.

Surely it was the seller who stuck the label on? You won't get anywhere with Evri as they've done what they were supposed to and delivered the parcel with your address on it to you.

I don't think I've ever had an invoice included in a parcel from Etsy.
Did your seller say an invoice was inside your parcel?
Your order details are all on your Etsy app. The only info usually used is your address on the parcel itself.

No, the packaging isn’t even the same one the seller used. It’s like they have taken someone else’s order and stuck my name/address on it!

But how would they have taken off your label from a package and stuck it onto another package?

I have no idea! The seller has sent me a picture of the packaging she’s used and definitely not the same. It wasn’t even anything expensive, only a toy for the dog 😂

So has someone cut the label off her packaging and stuck it on the top of another parcel still with the packaging on it or is it's just the label stuck on top of another label. The former would suggest an Evri issue, the latter couldn't have happened anywhere but at the sellers end.

Also surely the seller will be able to indicate if there was an invoice in it?

It’s the label on top of another label with a brand with the other customer’s name and address - this item isn’t something she sells. I’ve asked her, waiting a reply!

How strange. Hopefully when you hear back from the seller she can clarify how on earth your label was stuck onto another parcel and given you some reassurance over the invoice.
