OK looking for someone who can talk to me about selling my car on eBay.

Listed it yesterday. I have two people watching it. One guy has emailed me twice. First to ask if there are any faults. Before I could reply he has offered me cash if I sell it to him now. Is this normal or a scam of some sort?

BTW it is not an expensive car, over 10 years old and only worth a few hundred quid at most.

We had loads of dealers trying this when we sold our car on ebay. We gave our phone number to one of them and he phoned us and offered us £500 for it and was very pushy and said that we would get no more than that for it, it sold for £870 in the end. I would ignore the dealers

Your not really allowed to do a deal outside of ebay, is it on an auction? i would leave it as this as you then have more cover for yourself etc.

I sold my car on ebay our Audi for quite a bit of money, it was all fine & they came & picked it up.

yes ignore them! i had a couple offering to buy before the auction ended too.

we've sold cars on ebay twice, first time was fine, second time a nightmare of him saying all was fine then claiming h'd been ripped off (he ahdnt) and harassing us.

If you are considerings ellinge arly, only do through a buy now or you will be in breach of ebay policy and lose protection.

Yes I thought he might be a dealer. I emailed him back and siad I had wanted more than that for it but thanks for asking! LOL

agree ignore..I have sold 2 old cars on ebay one with a buy it now price and it sold within 5mins of being listed

We also sold ours for a BIN price. No problems at all.

OK I am warding off the many dealers who keep emailing me with their kind offers... Now I have at least one person lined up for a test drive on Saturday. Can anyone talk me through this please.
