paypal took my money for several things bought on the 15th March and only payed the vendors today...

If it was paid by echeque it take sthis long, mine has only gone through today for something bought on 16th

yup, does sound like an echeque. you and the seller should receive an email stating that it has cleared

I had this a few months ago, I sent the payment all as normal, then the seller contacted me to say they hadn't recieved it, hence me scouting around eBay/PayPal for a reason why, and then saw that for some unknown reason it had gone through as an echeque. Next time I used PayPal I looked very carefully at everything and saw there was something set to echeque. I still don't know why it had decided to change itself, and it hasn't done it since.

oh right - sorry sophiewd - I assumed echeque was a typo! never heard of one. That must be it - has something changed in my profile then?

it's done this to me a couple of times, and it was an echeque. the only thing i can think is that a i got a new debit card at the end of last year so the old one registered to paypal didn't work anymore. it made me update my debit card yesterday so i'll see what happens in the future.
