Vinted / lost parcel

I'm the seller. Sent the goods last Friday by DPD (never had a buyer choose DPD before, always Evri).

Tracking hasn't updated since I sent the goods. Last day to be delivered was today.

Buyer is sending me abrupt messages about it and at 4pm this afternoon demanding I contact DPD. Apparently she went to the shop she's collecting from at midday and they haven't got it, so I need to sort it out.

Am I correct in understanding that Vinted do all the chasing up and issue refunds to the buyer and then eventually to me?

Thanks.

Either you or the buyer can contact vinted who'll look into it. If they find that it's lost, you both receive compensation for the full amount of the sale. It's unbelievable how many of my parcels have gone missing when shipping with Evri - vinted has always refunded the full amount without issues.

FYI, DPD is a new shipper (probably why no one has ever used them) but if you don't want to use them again in future you can deselect them. I only ship using Evri, InPost locker-to-locker and Royal Mail.

Thanks for that. It's very helpful. I'll raise it with Vinted and let my stroppy buyer know. I expect bad feedback from her through no fault of my own!

Well, DPD haven't exactly made a good first impression, so I will probably remove them.

@thebluehen, if they have lost the parcel and it needsto be refunded, vinted don't allow either the buyer or seller to leave feedback for the transaction, so you don't need to worry about negative feedback.

If it is found and they leave negative feedback, I'd leave a response to explain what happened and leave them negative feedback in return!

Oh thanks, that's good to know! Everyday is a learning day.

I've had exactly the same this week but with Yodel.

I've contacted them twice and they just kept saying the depot would look for it.

Buyer keeps sending stroppy messages.

By sure what exactly she expects me to do 🤷🏻‍♀️

Message Vinted and they will sort it. I've had an issue this week with InPost mixing up parcels in transit and the buyer receiving at item that wasn't mine. They've been good with communication so far.

Can someone help me please I ladie who wanted to buy a bag of me on vinted has sent it back evri left package outside front door and it's gone miss there's a bottega bag that's worth over 700 what can I do to get money or compensation as it should of been handed to me I'm so upset will I get anything as it's expensive

Tashabea · 26/11/2023 18:54

I need help

PrudeyTwoShoes · 27/11/2023 12:37

@Tashabea, I believe you can file a claim with vinted to say it's not been received. Contact them asap and begin the process. I will say, I've not done this so not sure how much success you'll have.

Have you (or any neighbours) got security cameras or a ring doorbell that may have captured Evri leaving it outside and someone else grabbing it?

After a buyer repeatedly sent me low ball offers which I declined until she eventually bought at the asking price, she failed to collect and the parcel is on its way back to me. But it has been two weeks so I presume lost.

I've contacted Vinted who seem to have an understanding issue and tell me the package was not collected and is on its way back. Yes I know that but it's lost!

Has anyone had any luck getting a refund as a seller for a lost item recently? Do I just contact their normal support or is there a special form to fill out?
