low to zero, unless hyacinth bucket reads ebay listings

windygalestoday · 11/03/2008 08:35

a modesty panel is like a chemise panel near the v neck or revealing part ....

KaySamuels · 11/03/2008 08:35

rofl let us know when auction finishes please!

windygalestoday · 11/03/2008 08:36

did she wear it to YOUR wedding?

geordiemacminx · 11/03/2008 08:36

Its a v neck ut has a panel that goes across the inside, looking like you have a top on uinderneath.... I couldnt think of the words to describe it so modesty panel it was....

I know its bery I think she is expecting a fair amount for them...

Lol at 'pictures do not do this outfit justice'. Is it a multi-sensory experience? Looks like it could be.

SheherazadetheGoat · 11/03/2008 08:43

i suggest you list it under the other category of 'retro caravan curtains' and maybe mention cath kidston a few times.

thanks for sharing!

talkingmongoose · 11/03/2008 08:56

Wow, that burned my retinas out.

LollypopzMummy · 11/03/2008 20:14

Ooh I really like the 2nd one, if it wasn't a size 10 I'd bid!

geordiemacminx · 11/03/2008 21:06

The yellow one is actually ok, for the right occasion.

What size are you lollypopz?

sorkycake · 11/03/2008 21:14

Good luck, lol, looks like you'll be taking it to the charity shop.

I think I"d tell her you got a fiver for it just to keep her quiet and bung it in Oxfam. Gotta be better than explaining why it didn't sell.

The yellow suit reminds me of Jane Fonda in 9-5

geordiemacminx · 11/03/2008 21:25

I know - the thought had crossed my mind.

TBH she has a heart of gold bless her, and I dont think she'd be that bothered if they didnt sell, but its probably easier and kinder to bung her a tenner and send them to oxfam.

LollypopzMummy · 12/03/2008 14:44

Unfortunately I'm a size 18/20 so not even a chance of taking it out a bit to fit me, pants! Good luck though!

Oblomov · 12/03/2008 14:59

God it is gross. I bet loads of nanas would love it !!!! Only trouble is, do they shop on e-bay. It is the kind of thing my mil would wear, but at 75, she doesn't 'do e-bay'.

geordiemacminx · 16/03/2008 20:25

Yellow one sold for 99p - the one that looked like someone had thrown up over it other one didnt sell

scottishmummy · 16/03/2008 20:45

dearie me!some wee bachle will be loving that outfit

SwimmingPool · 17/03/2008 17:11

So will you be owning up to it not selling, and then when facing her disbelief asking for £2 towards your listing fees?

geordiemacminx · 17/03/2008 18:42

Fortunatley it was free listing weekend - gonna bung her £15 and tell her they both sold.
