What would you do? Sent 2 buggies....

About a month ago I ordered a buggy - the seller was a bit crap and tried to overcharge me for postage but we sorted it. I paid on paypal, and then nothing... I asked twice where my buggy was and I got the usual sob story about children being ill and finally received my buggy - along with ANOTHER buggy. Obviously intended for someone else but had my name and address on it.

I opened the wrong buggy first so it was unwrapped and then opened the one I'd ordered.

I emailed the seller to let her know I had an extra buggy (although I can't be sure it has actually come from her). Heard nothing. 5 days later I have a note from a parcel firm saying they'd tried to collect it. I emailed her again to say 'if you want it then can you let me know when you're ordering collection for...' and also 'if this has nothing to do with you can you also let me know'. My emails have been really polite.

I have still heard nothing. I don't need this other buggy, and I have a feeling some other Mum has paid for it. So now what?

If I were you I'd send it to me...

Contact ebay and explain the situatuion, may also be worth contacting the courier comapny who delivered the second buggy to you. They wil know who sent it, although unlikely to give you the details they may be able to contact the sender

if she can not be bothered to contact you and let you know what is going on, or even thank you for havng the decency to admit that you had received two bugies instead of one i would be inclined to just contact ebay or keep it

jellies · 10/03/2008 11:53

OH OH what is it?

DelGirl · 10/03/2008 11:55

just looking for a buggy as ours has just broken, what is it?

sixlostmonkeys · 10/03/2008 12:05

have a look on goofbay and check her recent selling activity. If you see the other buggy then you know that someone else has bought and paid for it.
At least that would be a start.

HeHe - It's a Mamas and Papas Pilko or something - I've only unwrapped it halfway. I had a look and saw that she has left some feedback for someone 20th Feb so she's obviously been on there since I've emailed her.

I've thrown the courier receipt away so have no way of trying to identify who requested collection. I am tempted to put it back on ebay but feel sorry for whoever it was destined for - although I guess this isn't really my problem....

I could contact Ebay but it's such a weird dispute!

You can only keep it after 6 months I believe.
