VINTED- query over different postage rates for buyer.

Can anyone help?
Vinted appears to have default postage costs which I want to change.

For example I'm selling a bag which is now listed, and I want to be able to send it special delivery to avoid any issues with 'not being received'. (It's listed for over £100.)

I have included special delivery postage in my listing but see that Vinted has said postage ' from £3.49' which is basic 2nd class unsigned for.

I am not going to post that way so how does the buyer pay what is needed?

This is unlike ebay where sellers can state exactly what postage is and it's added to the invoice.

If you use the in post lockers then you don't need special delivery. They can see that you've posted and if it gets lost Vinted pay you and also refund the seller. I had this happen once.

As the PP said, vinted are quite good at refunding both buyer and seller if a parcel gets lost though any of their normal couriers (this doesn't actually apply if you use Royal Mail). I've had Evri lose a couple of parcels that I've sent and once a certain amount of time elapsed, vinted could see they hadn't been delivered and had no issue refunding. They are all tracked services so buyer/seller can see the parcel's progress.

If you are set on Royal Mail, just add the extra cost to the listing (e.g. make the item £3.50 - or whatever the extra cost is - more) so it's covered that way.

I live in a rural area and I don't know what an 'in post locker ' is!

It's far more convenient for me to use R Mail because I have a local sub-post office.

We've had huge issues with Evri where I live and I'm not sure I would trust them.

Yodel is another delivery service used by vinted and I'm sure they've just added DPD if these are options @IslandsInTheSunshine?

If not, as I've said, just add the price to the item and make sure you mention this in your listing. When a buyer pays with RM, the total amount, including delivery, is added to your balance so wouldn't make a difference if the postage price is added in with the item price.

Google where your nearest is. Mine is at our local supermarket so I can post when I do the weekly shop.
