Isabella Oliver skirt

I heard on MN that they sold really well

it doesn't look v. exciting. you need to enthuse and give more information.

OracleInaCoracle · 08/03/2008 22:15

its also not clear what size it is. you need to put size 10/12/14 or whatever on the listing

foxinsocks · 08/03/2008 22:16

it looks like a sack

hoxtonchick · 08/03/2008 22:17

yes, get some blurb from the website. mine sold for about 25 quid i think ('twas a couple of years ago though).

TheFallenMadonna · 08/03/2008 22:18

Yes, more info required I think. How long is it on? Fits which normal size?

You need a pregnant model really, to show what it looks like on

Pannacotta · 08/03/2008 22:21

Why dont you use the photo from the Is Oliver website instead, with the model wearing it? And perhaps borrow some of thier blurb, putting it in inverted commas. Also say more about condition, smore free home etc etc.
Also I'd mention that its the A line skirt.
That said I have sold a few IO things on ebay and this skirt was the only one which didnt make much money.

LynetteScavo · 08/03/2008 22:23

Thanks everyone!

Sorry to be a pain, but how do you use the picture from the web site - can I really do that?

OP posts:
Pannacotta · 08/03/2008 22:25

I have done it with no probs (having seen so many other ebayers doing it), though I also had a pic of the actual item so the buyer could see what they were bidding on.
Go to the website and right click on the photo and then copy it into your pics folder, then upload as usual.

TheBlonde · 08/03/2008 22:26

right click on the pic on their website then choose save image as and save it to your pc
you can then upload it

you need to fill in the info about your item more

deffo put a real life size - in the title line too
include the actual waist dimensions etc
put the rrp
say if it will fit throughout pg or not
what's it made of?
washing instructions

blueshoes · 08/03/2008 22:36

Everything others have said.

Something more personal in the description, like the fabric falls nicely and is slimming, smart, it made me look professional at work right up to x months. I got lots of compliments wearing it, comfortable and does not cut into your bump, yada yada ...

You have got 92 viewers, so the brand is attracting attention. Just need to spice it up with more info. All the best There is still time.

TheBlonde · 08/03/2008 22:38

do you have any watchers?

LynetteScavo · 08/03/2008 22:55

There are 7 watchers.

OP posts:
blueshoes · 08/03/2008 23:09

I think with 7 watchers, especially if they started watching within the last few days, there is good chance it will sell. But to get a good price, you need more. You still have a day and are ending on Sun night. The watchers on the last day are more determined.

I assume no one has put in a bid because they are all intending to snipe. I never put in a bid until the last 5 mins, unless I won't be around for auction close.

Hang in there. You could be lucky.

blueshoes · 08/03/2008 23:34

I also noticed you put the skirt in a different category from the top? Is that for any reason? I thought the more logical category was the skirt one ie Clothes, Shoes, Accessories > Women's Clothing > Maternity.

Defo include size [8/10/12] in the title and description esp the ebay one. People search in many ways but I always narrow down by size and if you don't include the size, you won't end up in the search results.

Describe the colour. It looks navy, but not sure.

Also, if it matches the top, you might want to say it.

sixlostmonkeys · 09/03/2008 08:35

maybe check spelling etc? This can put people off. eg payed = paid
and
"In jersy to offer supper as it fits softly under bunp" I can't work out what this means

Lots of details always help and good photos

QOD · 09/03/2008 08:44

hahahahha
I was laughing then and going to post
"In jersy to offer supper"
i think she means support?

Good luck

sixlostmonkeys · 09/03/2008 09:35

ah! support!
not a free evening meal then?
I was thinking super...... too early for me

LynetteScavo · 09/03/2008 22:44

I think I should get DH to proof read my listings!

It finally went for £18, so not too bad.

OP posts:
blueshoes · 09/03/2008 22:50

that's is a good price, Lynette. Well done.

PS I thought you might have had a little too much wine!

LynetteScavo · 09/03/2008 22:51

Could you tell?

OP posts:
blueshoes · 09/03/2008 22:55

Your other posts seemed better written ... so I assumed. Gave me a laugh anyway and perhaps some of your bidders
