Is this a con?

I've sent an item recorded delivery but the person didn't let the post person in to deliver. They haven't rearranged delivery. I'm guessing it will get sent back to me?

What do you mean let the person in? You mean they didn't answer the door? Give them time to collect or reschedule If not it should be resent to you

I've had this issue OP but in my case, the postie tried the following day and got in. I suspect it's a house/flat with a shared main entrance they couldn't access. Have you tried putting the tracking number into Royal Mail Tracking to see where your parcel currently is? I think I would message the buyer and explain so they can check if it's available for collection at their local depot.

Its not a con. Royal Mail don't tell people when their parcel is due to be delivered, so they can't arrange to be in. They usually try again the next day and will leave a red card that explains how to collect the item. You can contact the buyer to let them know Royal Mail attempted delivery, and when they receive the red card they can arrange a redelivery. If Royal Mail can't deliver the item, then they'll return it to you. I think they usually wait 2 weeks to do that.

Thank you
