I put my climbing fram on ebay the other day and yesterday it was bought for £150 in a buy it now.
Ive been paid via paypal and have the money in my account. Thing is ive sent the buyer 2 emails with my telephone number on so we can organise collection.
But ive not heard from her.
I deffo put collection in person on the listing so she cant possibly think it will be delivered to her.
is it me or is this odd?

Go back and check the paypal payment - maybe she's put a message on there or her phone number...

She's paid through paypal so will have gone through the ebay invoice, so she'll know it's not delivery. Does she have OK feedback?

I'm guessing that she's either sent you a message (via paypal or ebay - have you checked your bulk items?) or your message hasn't got through to her (stuck in her bulk items?)

they only bought it yesterday!

bubblagirl · 06/03/2008 11:39

i would give it longer than a day before you panic they may not have computer access at mo

they have paid so they clearly want item dont keep e mailing unless its been longer than 3 days but beings its paid for doubt they'll forget about it

Huzzah! she has just phoned and is coming to collect onSunday

I know it was a bit soon to panic, and I wasnt really just thought it was odd-Cos when you buy it know you are obvs at the computer and I mailed her straght away (mumsnet habbit keeping me rooted to the screen )
anyway all alright in the end-touch wood

maybe worth noting for the future not to accept paypal for collections. they can collect, go home and claim item not received and paypal will refund them

bubblagirl · 06/03/2008 16:49

you could make up your own collected reciept and get them to sign it if to worried just explain or lie and say someone has done this to you before and you have been told to do this to back yourself up

Youcannotbeserious · 06/03/2008 18:56

That's a good point, 6lostmonkeys...

Most people who want items collected want Cash on collection (Nearly wrote COC there!! !!) as it savs on the e-bay fees.

Not sure if Ebay / Paypal have a policy on it?

sixlostmonkeys · 06/03/2008 20:11

the only thing that can prevent a paypal refund is a tracking number, therefor a receipt, signature, letter, note etc will do no good.
May be worth asking for a signature in the hope it may put them off, but, if they know their stuff they know it's meaningless.

iMum · 07/03/2008 13:55

What can I do then? refnd them the money now and ask them to bring cash on collection?
