I tried here first and it shifted so fast down the list that no-one even noticed it! So put it on Ebay and 7 hours left, no bids, and not even any watchers!

can you link it for us

Aero · 02/03/2008 15:56

I feel a bit cheeky doing it, but am not often cheeky and rarely sell on mn anymore, so here it is.

Sorry it's too big for dd2 and too small for dd1 otherwise you would of had a sale

Aero · 02/03/2008 16:16

Aw - thanks anyway Tegan - nice to know someone at least likes it!! It really is very pretty. Dd looked gorgeous in it when it fitted her. Shame it no longer does really!

just a tip, have you considred filling in th 'item specifics' so people using the advanced search tools will see it?

Aero · 02/03/2008 16:22

I don't know what that is MrsB. Rarely sell anything tbh, but felt this is too good to give to the charity shop. Don't think I can do anything now as less than 12 hours to go though, can I? Is it on the normal listing page? I just used the quick listing one.

I don't know, have never sold clothes, but you can see the bar in the middle of the listing that says
Type: Material:
Size: -- Condition: Used
Colour: --

chipmonkey · 02/03/2008 16:48

I would love it Aero, but don't have a dd!

Aero · 02/03/2008 16:49

Oh yes, I used to do that, but it seems they've changed things a bit (I so rarely sell anything, I can't keep up with changes they make), so you can list things quickly and the item specifics doesn't seem to appear there. I expect if I used the more standard listing thingy, then I'd have been able to do that.

It's on it's second appearance as I re-listed and dropped the price. Maybe it's the wrong time of year........

Have only glanced at it. Have you said where it is from. I tend to be very succesful selling clothes and say where they are from.

eandh · 02/03/2008 16:57

Oh its lovely but since I have 14mont and 3 year old it would have to sit in a wardrobe for a long time and I am only 10mins from you (saw on your ebay listing where you are)

magnolia74 · 02/03/2008 16:59

Oh Aero, its gorgeous but wouldn't fit dd4 for another year maybe although she does have an age 6 one from Sainsbury's.
Where would she wear it?? Oh I really like it tooooo!!

Flibbertyjibbet · 02/03/2008 17:00

The picture isn't very good imo, it just looks like a pink thing. You need to take an extra pic of any detail.
Agree that you need to enter all the details in the listing when prompted. (I have boys so dont' want a dress ) I go on ebay and enter specifics like searching for boy trousers age 18-24m so unless someone is just aimlessly browsing through EVERY item of girls clothing yours won't even come up.

Or take it to a dress agency thats what I do with our old good condition used stuff.

Aero · 02/03/2008 17:16

Agree flibberty - the pic really doesn't do it justice. I guess I was thinking that for all that I want for it, it wasn't worth taking lots of pics. Next time (if there is one), I'll pay more attention to detail and def fill in the item specifics rather than doing the speedy listing.

Mag - dd wore it to parties mainly or if we were out visiting friends or relatives, but it wasn't worn that often, hence in such good order. It washes like a ribbon too! always comes up looking like new.

Where is it from would you say it was more a 6-7 size? Asking because dd is in 5-6 just now and I like to buy her party dress for next birthday/round of christmas parties in the sales or at this time of year cause there is less chance of others having the same one lol.

Aero · 02/03/2008 17:39

It's from Dunnes in N Ireland Ineedacleaner. I buy from there when I'm 'home' visiting my folks as the quality is good, but the clothes aren't expensive. That said, it was a £30 dress, but I bought half price in the sale myself! It was in their bridesmaid/special occassion dress section and I just knew dd would love it and bought it for her birthday. I've always bought a year older for dd as she's tall, so it fitted her 6-7. If your dd is taller than the average 6yo, then I'd say it should fit her.

Aero am watching it for dd4's birthday in June

Aero · 02/03/2008 19:10

Aw - thanks Magnolia. At least lots of people have looked at it now!

OP posts:
Ineedacleaner · 02/03/2008 20:16

Aero she is only 4 lol but is in 5-6 clothes and even then the tops are getting small but dresses do that wee bit longer I am gonna be watching it too.

Aero · 02/03/2008 22:06

Hooray - someone has finally bid. I'm hoping it's a mner - that would please me most!

Ineedacleaner, dd is now 7.5 and for the most part wears 9-10 clothes although some 8-9 things will fit her depending on how generous the cut is.

OP posts:
Aero · 02/03/2008 22:48

Think I recognise a mner on the bidding - thank-you (whichever one you are). Am thrilled it will sell after all!

OP posts:
magnolia74 · 03/03/2008 09:21

I was outbid

Ineedacleaner · 03/03/2008 10:14

sorry

Aero · 03/03/2008 16:58

Thank-you ladies. Sorry Magnolia! All parcelled up and posting in the morning Ineedacleaner.
