Sorry I didn't know where else to put this.

We had a large letter size box put through our letter box on Thursday.

I opened it assuming it was for us. I usually check but I had a few things from eBay delivered too.

The item was a bikini top and a cut out top in leopard print with pink chains on it. Very distinctive.

I have 2 dds 11 and 13 but they send me links and I order for them. So I knew it wasn't mine or theirs.

I looked at the address label and it was our house number, street name and post code but an unknown name.

We have a few neighbour groups on Facebook and I assumed it was someone on my estate. I asked. No one knew anyone with that name.

The postage was tracked but no signature required.

I put the tracking number into the courier site and it said it had been delivered. The photo was of the parcel. No house or letter box in the background.

I assumed it was a fast fashion cheap Item by looking at it.
so I thought I'd leave it and see what happened. It turns out it was £70.00 and made to order.

I wrote on the box to return to sender / not known here. I took it to the post office Monday. They said they couldn't accept it so I asked if I could put it into the post box which I did.

I am really desperate for money so I was considering paying to track this as I now had no proof that I had returned it. But I couldn't justify paying for an item that wasn't mine.

Monday night I was upstairs. DD13 shouted someone was at the door. I looked on ring. It was a man and a woman. The man was huge. The House numbers are strange here so people always get our house mixed up with others. She opened the door and I heard a woman say "strange one but I've ordered something and "she" put in the wrong postcode and it's ended up here." I'm not sure who she is.

I shouted down just as I was climbing down from the loft that I had put it back into the post box. I heard DD tell them that. I went down to speak to them but they had gone.

I have no reason to think it will go missing but the brand is written on the packaging. What if it gets stolen? They may not believe I sent it back and may come round again.

I can see why the man would travel with the woman in the car but to both come to the door I felt a bit uncomfortable. I'm autistic and worry about things.

I hate it when there are issues and people have your address.

I don't know what I'm asking but I hope I did the right thing?

If they had come Friday / Saturday/ Sunday I would have still had it.

They maybe just came together as she may have felt nervous coming to an unknown house on her own? You’ve said you sent it back, they will likely just contact the sellers/manufacturers and go from there.
Don’t worry about it.
