Void postage label request question

Sold a book that was just 6g over Royal Mail limit for large letter after packing and wrapping, so cancelled it through eBay and bought the right one.

It's been nearly a week since I've requested it, but in your experience, how long does it take for them to refund it? I suppose they need to wait until the label passes its expiry date first as the earliest opportunity.

I've done this several times and it usually takes 3 weeks to get a refund, I think once I had to wait 4 weeks. You'll get a refund as long as the post office haven't scanned it. They're really helpful at our local, and they always check the weight and measurements for me before they scan it.
