Non payer auction

What kind of cheeky fuckery is this. I sold a laptop on ebay 24 hour auction. I'm a bit skint, the winner hasn't paid I messaged them and they said I will pay tomorrow. Wtf why would you bid on an auction if you don't have the money to pay for the item. EBay won't let me cancel until the 8th I'm fuming.

eBay usually allows three days before you can open a non payment case.

I've had winners paying me several days later amd maybe only once or twice when they didn't bother. I've been on since 2008.

They still haven't paid.

Has it been 3 days?

I gave up with auctions ages ago. Waiting for the 4 days to pass after non payment is prehistoric.

Buy it now with instant payment required is all I use.

One day is fine for auctions usually? I set mine to payment in 3 days. What really annoys me is when I've done a week long auction on the cheaper fee rate and then the winner doesn't pay!

For auctions the first 6 days 23 hours and 55 minutes are for publicity. The last 5 minutes are when people actually bid.

Personally speaking I only ever bid in the last few seconds.
