Buyer collecting and payment not showing

Buyer says she's double checked payment just now but it's still not showing on app.

Is there usually a delay? Or does it show immediately?

If you’re speaking about a PayPal payment, it’s not advisable to use it for collection as a buyer can collect the item then file a “not received” payment with PayPal, which they will generally pay out on, so the buyer gets your item free.

What app? Remember that paying through oaypal can be recalled or reversed if the buyer claims they never received the goods. If they collected then there's no proof they received them.

But it’s a collection so why aren’t you taking payment in cash? As soon as they have the item, they’ll open a not received case and get their money back. Even scanning the barcode and all that stuff that eBay have brought in, eBay will still side with the buyer.

If they've paid through Ebay it tells you when they've paid and would show, PayPal is more or less the same. Whenever I've received money through PayPal, it's there immediately

Tell them you won’t let them collect until money is in your current account. End of. Why would you?

There are problems with eBay this weekend. I sold some stuff yesterday and two buyers couldn't pay - one got a message saying the item was no longer in stock 🙄 and one, when she clicked on 'pay now', got a message saying 'contact seller'. What a PITA. So that might be what's happened to you.

But if the buyer is collecting, get them to pay in cash, like everyone else said!
