Paypal? Why do the now want me to pay them?

I'm confused have only just started selling on e-bay. My first Items have sold but paypal says I can only accept these 2 payments all year because they are from a debit card and they've robbed my money off me.

I don't get it I've been sent payment through paypal away from e-bay and there has never been a problem?

Oh and at what point do ebay ask for their fee?

You have to upgrade your paypal account- look on their site for details.

This happened to me first time I sold, and I panicked slightly.

email your buyer to let them know you're sorting it- they likely won't be arsey if they are kept informed about whats going on!

It may be to verify yr address rather than upgrade, I can't recall offhand, but I think it took a couple of days.

re ebay fees - I usually get an invoice just after the 1st and payment goes out on or around the 6th - not sure if it's the same for everyone

This is normal

people paying you via paypal can pay from money in their paypal account or they can use a credit/debit card

for credit/debit cards you (the seller) have to pay a commission fee to paypal and you can only accept 2 credit card payments a year

if you need to accept more you upgrade your account and the fees structure changes slightly
