Selling Holding Funds

I know there are a few comments on this subject but not recent, I think.
As with most people with the current leccy/gas bills, living etc going up sold a few things last night and was pleased with what I got, it would be a massive help. Checked my bank this morning and funds not there. When I checked they're holding funds until buyers receive items. To a point I can understand this bit it was never a major issue in the past and not as I sold 5/6 item going to cost approx £18 to send. I'm struggling any way, sold to get extra cash now but now have to try and find this money and but packing stuff. This can't be right!! Anyone got any advice please

eBay has always held the funds back for as long as I've been selling items - it's how they protect buyers, and they will almost always protect the buyer's interests over the seller's interests.

I know it's a bit late now, but for immediate cash sell locally on Facebook Marketplace with local pick-up.

Last time I sold things after not selling for a while they did this (November time). Once I’d sold a few things and people were obviously receiving them it went back to the old system of crediting my account right away. I just had to build up a bit of trustworthiness first.

I had this issue when I first started selling on eBay. Finally when my funds were available, I hadn't verified my account and that then took more sorting out.
